Stroke of Midnight

01 Jan

So, late last year, I found and followed a lovely blog called The Daily Post. On this blog, there is an available ebook for download that’s a collection of 365 writing prompts, one for every day of 2014. In order to write a bit more, I thought I would give it a shot.

January 1st: Where were you last night when 2013 turned into 2014? Is that where you wanted to be?

Well. Last night, I did the overnight at work, haha! When the stroke of midnight hit for the new year, I was busy cleaning doggie day camp playrooms, washing dishes, and making breakfast for the dogs and cats that boarded with us for the night. I love my job, honestly, and I don’t mind doing an overnight shift here or there, but I will say that being at work wasn’t exactly the place where I thought I would be to ring in the new year. I wouldn’t have had any other plans other than probably hanging out with my family, of course, but I bet there are not too many people who think that they would be at work to ring in a new year.

I hope everyone else had a lovely new year!
