Thoughts of E-Readers

14 Jun

I’ve been thinking of an e-reader lately.

My bookshelf is a tall, narrow thing and, while its pretty, it doesn’t hold nearly as many of my books as I would like. Maybe I’d be able to fit more books on the shelves if I played Tetris again with them, but it doesn’t seem likely. I have a couple of piles and a large Barnes and Noble bag full of novels right next to and in front of the bookshelf, which I’m sure annoys Rachel a bit.

I love my physical books, and I definitely wouldn’t switch completely over to an e-reader. That, and I already spend so much time staring at electronic screens. However, an e-reader  could lighten the load of books on my shelf!

Any suggestions for e-readers? Which brands do you like?

I adore my kindle fire. And I have yet to hit a point where I have more books downloaded than it can hold for vacation. And I’ve certainly been there with physical books and suitcases so…LOL

Kindle fire is at the top of my list, and it’s great to hear a recommendation for it! May I ask how long you’ve had it?

um, 2.5 years give or take. My only complaint is a bug in the calendar function that hit me the first year I had it but they may have that fixed by now.

Kindle Fire is a great e-reader. I personally just have a tablet with my Kindle app on it. I don’t really enjoy e-books as much as physical copies, but e-books do save on space. And it is definitely worth it if you’re an avid reader- e-books are always much cheaper than print versions.
