Fifty Thousand Words

23 Nov

I did it!

I didn’t verify my win just yet (there’s a little badge that you can earn from updating your word count everyday) but, hey, I reached 50k a week early! Rachel and I have a couple of new video games (Pokemon Sun and Moon, actually) that we’ve sworn not to play until we reached 50k on our novels, and we wanted to be able to play the games during our holiday weekend. So, here we are!

My NaNo project isn’t done, and it doesn’t seem like it will be for a while yet. The characters are still tons of fun, but it honestly looks like I’ve just gotten into the main conflict of the story. A dragon shapeshifter just showed up, seemingly important to the plot. He’s very polite, actually, if a bit naive. He’s getting along quite well with my kitsune character.

I certainly hope everyone else is having good luck with their writing (or any kind of) projects!

I am a bad person. I wish I had made the same swear you and Rachel did and not opened Sun and Moon until after I’d hit 50K. I will make 50K, but I’m constantly staying behind at the moment. *facepalm* Congrats on winning! That’s a huge accomplishment. šŸ˜€

Haha, how far along are you in the game? We almost literally spent our entire holiday weekend playing the games (reading a book or two in between gaming sessions when we needed to take a break from the electronics, of course).

I’m on the second island and have four z crystals. That’s as far as I’ve gotten. I spend a lot of time training up Pokemon and evolving them, so I haven’t really gotten far. Justin has completed the grand trial on the fourth island already, if that’s any indication of how slow I play the game. lol

Haha, you’re right where I am! I do the same thing… Once I catch a new Pokemon I want on my team, I need to train it up to match everyone else’s levels.
