This past weekend we celebrated my nephew’s first birthday. It’s amazing how one year went by so fast!

My nephew, in one year, has learned to crawl then walk, has learned to babble then… well, he still kind of babbles, but it’s getting to be more understandable with every passing day. He recognizes his name, he recognizes his family, and he can be a little tease when it comes to playing and sharing his toys.

And it amazes me how much progress that one little baby has made in a year.

I made a bit of my own progress in a year as well, getting a new, better paying job with a schedule that allows me more time at home. It’s giving me more of an opportunity to figure out my writing and blogging, and I’m working on improving those skills every day.

How much progress have you made in a year?

A lot can happen in a year. A little bit more than a year ago I actually started blogging and writing on WordPress. At the very least I can write up short stories now, whereas before I only had the concentration to write prologues.
