Let’s Start

03 Jul

camp-2017-participant-profile-photoIt’s that time again! Camp NaNo has officially started for July… and I have no idea what I’m doing.

Rather, I’m spending this Camp session doing some short stories for my Sunday Scribbles, along with exploring some other new ideas. If one sticks with my brain long enough, I may focus on that throughout the month, but I’m not committing to anything just yet.

Considering the family and I are going away for the last week of the month, I’m aiming to reach my word count goal by the 21st at the latest. Since I have the usual word count goal of 50k, that means I’ll have to write about 2400 words a day. It’s doable around my work schedule, of course, but I hope I don’t get burned out too quickly!

Anyone else doing Camp NaNo? What are your word count goals and strategies?
